We, the people of the Republic of Fitzland, in order to establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Republic of Fitzland.
All citizens are equal before the law and are entitled to equal protection without any discrimination.
Every citizen has the right to freedom of speech and expression, provided it does not infringe on the rights of others or public order.
Every individual has the right to privacy, and no person's private life shall be subject to unwarranted interference.
Citizens have the right to assemble peacefully and to form associations for purposes not contrary to law.
Every citizen has the right to free primary and secondary education.
Every citizen has the right to work and to receive fair remuneration for their labor.
Clause 1: The Prime Minister
The Prime Minister is both the head of state and the head of government, elected by the National Assembly from among its members. The Prime Minister serves a term of five years and may serve an unlimited number of terms.
Clause 2: Powers of the Prime Minister
The Prime Minister shall have the power to enforce laws, oversee the administration, appoint cabinet members, conduct foreign affairs, and propose legislation to the National Assembly.
Clause 1: The Parliament
The Parliament is the legislative body, consisting of representatives elected by proportional representation for a term of four years.
Clause 2: Powers of The Parliament
The Parliament shall have the power to draft, debate, and pass legislation, approve budgets, and oversee the executive branch.
Clause 1: The Supreme Court
The Supreme Court is the highest judicial authority, composed of justices appointed by the Prime Minister with the approval of the National Assembly.
Clause 2: Powers of the Supreme Court
The Supreme Court shall have the power to interpret the Constitution, adjudicate disputes involving fundamental rights, and review the constitutionality of laws and executive actions.
The Republic of Fitzland shall be governed by the rule of law, where laws are enacted in a transparent and accountable manner.
The powers of the government are separated into three branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Each branch shall be independent and co-equal.
Public officials are accountable to the people and must act in the public interest, with mechanisms in place to prevent and address corruption.
Government activities shall be conducted transparently, and citizens shall have the right to access information held by public authorities.
Citizens have the right and duty to participate in the democratic process and civic activities to influence government policy and decision-making.
Amendments to this Constitution may be proposed by a two-thirds majority of The Parliament or by a constitutional convention called for by a majority of the citizens through a referendum.
Proposed amendments must be ratified by a three-fourths majority of The Parliament or by a majority vote in a national referendum.
This Constitution is the supreme law of the Republic of Fitzland, and any law or action inconsistent with it is void.
All public officials, before assuming office, must swear an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.
This Constitution shall take effect immediately upon ratification by a majority vote in a national referendum.
